Gorana Matovina Brko, medical oncologist, was born in Novi Sad. In 2005, she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Novi Sad. She has been employed at the  Oncology Institute of Vojvodina in Sremska Kamenica since 2006. From 2007 to 2017, she worked at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad, as a teaching associate and assistant at the Department of Oncology. She completed her specialist studies in the field of internal medicine and sub specialisation in oncology at University of Novi Sad. Her main fields of interest are breast cancer and urology cancers. 

She was trained at the Tenon Hospital in Paris during April 2008, and participated in many educational preceptorships and training in the country and abroad in immuno-oncology, breast cancer, bladder and prostate cancer.

She has been participating as a sub-investigator in numerous clinical trials conducted at the Oncology Institute of Vojvodina.

She is a board member of UMOS – Association of Medical Oncologists of Serbia, a member of ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology), Serbian Medical Association and Vojvodina Medical Association.

She is the author and co-author of many scientific papers and two book chapters in the field of oncology.

For years she has been actively involved in the work of the French-Serbian Oncology Society and the organization of the Novi Sad Oncology Congress NSOC.
